Through thoughtful questions and inviting clients’ stories, I help my clients get crystal clear on their values, strengths, and preferences so that they can make brave choices and have authentic relationships. I also use body-based interventions like EMDR and IFS to help my clients let go of anxiety at a visceral level. Coping with triggering moments is an important goal, AND my hope for clients is that they experience way less of these moments to begin with. 

While the work I do with clients is intentional and challenging, I meet clients where they are with flexibility, gentleness, and humor. Think of me as an ally. Working with me you can expect more than the “How does that make you feel?” cliché. We are in this together and I’m here to support you and gently challenge you. I am committed to help you meet your goals and am invested in your well-being.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing)

Do you feel stuck reliving painful memories from your past? Is your mind constantly spinning with unhelpful narratives about yourself? I use EMDR (a therapy mixing talking and eye movements) to help clients get unstuck by desensitizing past memories, present triggers, and providing a path towards building a better future. Instead of drowning in negative thoughts, my clients end up feeling like they can swim above their memories.

NARRATIVE THERAPY

We are constantly making meaning of our experiences, and often times, the narratives we make about ourselves, others, and the world are unhelpful to living a happy life. Lots of these problems narratives are a result of societal dominant discourses. In the therapy room, it is my goal to support you in deconstructing some of these taken for granted messages and explore your values and strengths so that you can do life based on your own definitions of happiness.
